Bulimba State School is hosting its STEAM Expo on Sunday 12 August with workshops running throughout the day. After much success at the inaugural event in 2017, 2018 is setting out to be even bigger. A number of workshops will be held that day from 10am to 4pm including engineering challenges, space exploration activities, and more. Coding Kids will be running the following kids coding and robotics workshops for Prep to Year 6 students.

  • 10.30-11.30am: Unplugged computational thinking games for Prep – Year 2 students
  • 1.00-2.00pm: Programming Sphero robots for Prep – Year 2 students
  • 10.30am-12.00pm: 3D modelling for Year 3-6 students
  • 1.00-2.30pm: App development for Year 3-6 students

Enrol online to join STEAM Expo 2018 . Primary school aged students are welcome to participate. You do not have to be a student at the school.

How to enrol

  1. Download Qkr app here.
  2. Open app and sign up.
  3. You will be required to add your credit card details to enrol in a class.
  4. Search for Bulimba State School in the search bar.
  5. Click on ‘Bulimba State School’.
  6. Add your profile. Select “Guest” for class if none of the options in the drop-down menu suit.
  7. Click on ‘Menu’ in the top navigation bar.
  8. Click on “P&C Events.”
  9. Click on “Coding Kids” in the top navigation bar.
  10. Select any of our classes
