Join our Holiday Hackafun for 10-15 year olds to explore: programming with Python, electronics, robotics, 3D modelling and printing, web development, entrepreneurship and much more. Online classes available: after-school, Saturdays and during school holidays.
Hackafun: (noun) A fun, collaborative, exploratory programming experience.
Program with Python and build computer games, animations, and much more. Python is a high-level, general-purpose computer programming language. It has been used in many different types of popular applications: YouTube, DropBox, Google, Quora, Instagram, BitTorrent, Spotify, and Reddit.
Innovate and make unique creations. Create musical instruments, robots and LED games. Extend on your Python knowledge and program Micro:bit with Python. Micro:bit is a pocket-size programmable computer that you can code, control and create innovations with. Built into the Micro:bit are 25 LED lights (5×5) that can flash messages, an accelerometer to detect movement and direction, two programmable buttons and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to interact with other devices and the nternet.
Become a changemaker and engage your entrepreneurial spirit. Identify a
community problem to solve. Use design thinking to innovate and iterate your
way to a marketable product. Create value and learn how to market your
product. Develop digital solutions with rapid prototyping. Learn to create with
technology, build a viable business model, and how to monetise your product. Pitch your company, product and how you will change the world.
