Free online classes!

That’s right! We’re running free online classes for kids from:

  • Monday, 24th September – Saturday, 6 October 2018

You can use our free online classes to give your child the best advantage for the future. Let them build something awesome!

Here is a basic outline of how our free online classes work:

  • Classes go for 1 hour
  • They are available weekdays after-school and on Saturdays
  • Our classes are fun, structured, and beginner-friendly!
  • Only 6 students per class with one tutor

Join our enthusiastic, trained, Brisbane-based Coding Mentors! All our mentors are holders of Blue Cards/have police checks.

What your child will depend on the kind of course that they choose to do. We run five online courses for children aged 7-15:

  • 7-11 year olds can…
    • design their own computer game
    • be creative with interactive artwork and animations
  • 10-15 year olds can…
    • code with Python to a build text adventure game or creating a Spirograph with Python’s Turtle
    • build your own website, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Depending on the type of course they choose, your child will learn…

  • how to write algorithms
  • creative thinking & innovation
  • problem solving, maths and logic
  • graphic design and animations

We have the following classes available:

  • Scratch: Learn the fundamentals of coding with drag and drop coding blocks. (for 7-11 year olds)
  • Python: Learn your first text-based programming language and build your own computer games. (for 10-15 year olds)
  • 3D Modelling: Get creative with 3D modelling (for all ages)
  • Web Dev: Build your first interactive website with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. (for 10-15 year olds)
  • App Dev: Build your first mobile app (iOS and Android) with drag and drop coding blocks. (for 10-15 year olds)

There are many group reasons to choose us! Here are just a few:

  • We value people over machines
  • We value learning outcomes over product outcomes
  • We’re focused on developing future-proofed transferable skills

No one knows what the future holds, but if we can develop children who are curious and engaged, they will be ready and excited for a world of change.

Coding Kids is a Brisbane-based organisation, so all of our classes run in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST, GMT+10).
