Security, Linux, & hacking games

This course is for 14-16 year olds who are interested in learning about cyber security and Linux fundamentals through “hacking” games. No prior experience required.

Learn the fundamentals of the open-source operating system Linux. Learn how to install a Linux virtual machine, which acts as a computer within a computer. Learn how to use the terminal (the command line) through a series of war games, where you use your newfound knowledge to break through to the next level. 

 

We are running 2 classes: 

1. Live, online classes

  • Dates: Tuesday 9 to Friday 12 July 2019
  • Time: 2.00-4.00pm
  • Delivered via online meeting software
  • Max class size: six students with one instructor

2. In-person classes in Brisbane

  • Dates: Tuesday 9 to Friday 12 July 2019
  • Time: 10.30am-12.30pm
  • Venue: Fishburners, Level 2, 155 Queen Street, Brisbane, 4000.
  • Max class size: eight students with one instructor
