Anna Kinnane, (Queensland College of Teachers) one of the ACARA writers of the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies, and Emily de la Pena, Founder of Coding Kids, co-delivered a web conference: Digital Technologies Curriculum PD.

Anna will share some key messages and provides tips for the implementation of this new subject. The P-10 Digital Technologies curriculum provides exciting new learning opportunities for students. During this web conference participants will be provided with practical examples of how the Digital Technologies curriculum can be taught using authentic learning experiences within the context of other learning areas. Ann will also share some unplugged computational thinking activities and highlight some resources available to all teachers.

Emily will be demonstrating how to build a few simple games in Scratch, a drag and drop coding platform, which can be incorporated into any subject area. Scratch projects include a quiz, drawing geometries, and a simple computer game.
